Bring The Noise

Guest post by Man of American Dissent

The Administration is set to reveal the “New and Improved” plan for Iraq tonight. We’ve heard the chart topping hits “Turn The Corner”, “Stay The Course”, “We Will Prevail” and “As They Stand Up (We’ll Stand Down)”. I wonder what it will be this time. Most certainly the polling samples and focus group data have been analyzed and thoroughly reviewed. The official language has been vetted. These guys have been taking a beating on the charts lately and they are feeling the need to make a comeback. This one has got to be a winner. It will be well crafted. I’m sure it will even seem catchy to many at first.

Any music business professional will tell you that your song needs a hook if it’s going to go anywhere. The problem is that every hook that these guys have come up with has been like an O’Shaughnessy in the scalp of the American People. President Bush is the political equivalent of William Hung. He’s flat out awful, essentially succeeding because of his failure and abject ineptitude, but for some reason people keep listening. Prepare yourself for the aural assault because I can practically hear it now. …“This is not about increasing the number of troops. We are engineering a decrease in the ratio of enemy fighters to American soldiers. Our ‘New Way Forward’ is not escalating the situation, but rather it is an insurgent violence reduction plan”.

In a nutshell, we’re going to “bring it on” under the guise of some handcrafted doublespeak. The news media will amplify, distort and infinite loop the story which will create enough noise to confuse most Americans, who to be frank aren’t paying much attention. The only way to cut through it will be to bring some noise of our own. Loud, clear and simple. Impeach the fool.

Well, I'd be interested in seeing more Americans taking a stand against His Fraudulency. However, I just listened to a smooth-talking neo-con on the radio who had a very slick message.

And that's the problem. America no longer has Free Speech; America has Freeforall Spin. Noise makes no difference if the words heard above the tumult & shouting are a mixture of truths, half-truths, lies, and bigger lies.

I'm reminded of those TV infomercials where some good old boy in a Hawaiian shirt explains the miracle of pyramid selling. The studio audience goes wild with the prospect of "Wealth Without Work".

I think Lincoln may have been wrong. The Union should have broken up. The world would have been better off with a North America made up of half a dozen countries each taking a different path in pursuit of happiness. One of them might have succeeded.

So true. The country has become American Idolized, addicted to "reality" TV. Everything seems like it should only be a press of the "Easy Button" away. I only hope that we'll see investigations followed by impeachment.

One has to remember George Bush is a Texan. And Texans think The Battle of the Alamo was the first step to Victory. Now, do we really want to be teaching our children the battle cry "Remember Baghdad!"

General Cornwallis surrendered the British colonies to General Washington at Yorktown in 1781. A British band played the song "The World Turned Upside Down." But Britain got over it and went on to do some pretty great things.

The United States will get over their exit from the Middle East too. And if the globe keeps heating up at this rate, oil will be outlawed. Do we really then want to be asking, "What was it all for?"

David,

You need to go back to school and learn the history of the world.

You're clueless.

In all your writing you never say anything about the UK which is a far greater police state than the US.

I think you are one of the think tank trolls who get enough script to feel important and then you do your little dribble here and there - thinking you are a intellectual - because just like Ann Coulter, you take marching orders so well.

The Alamo as a reference to America's history is unbelievably stupid. Shame on you. Shame, shame, shame on you for being a troll whore.

Why all this verbal abuse, rkelly? You call me clueless, but all my historical facts are correct. Even in response to your hysterical rant about fractional-reserve banking, my facts were correct. And yours were not.

And why should I be ashamed of mentioning the Alamo? The President spoke tonight of holding off a little longer until things get better. This is Alamo thinking. And it really was Mexico's land.

Apparently the "surge" is meant to break the cycle of violence in Iraq. Perhaps we could look to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict to see how they finally broke the cycle of violence. ...Ooops!

The extra 20,000 troops are to fight alongside Iraqi troops in Baghdad. This means America will now engage in the ethnic cleansing of Baghdad, eliminating all the Sunnis. But this won't go down with the Saudis. So I fear the worst.

No, what am I saying? The worst was the open threat to Iran that the President had placed another carrier fleet in the Gulf and an Admiral in charge and would take measures to stop Iran from helping the insurgents.

War with Iran in addition to Iraq and Afghanistan? Has this President gone mad? Iran is huge. Saddam spent 8 years trying to defeat Iran and failed. If Bush finally admitted it was stupid to say "Bring it on" to the Iraqis, why is he adding "And I can whup your fat friend too"?

I don't think there is time to impeach, man of american dissent. Congress has to go straight to making a separate peace. Yes, make noise. Make a lot of noise. This is more than escalation, this is expansion. And it will mark the end of the American Empire.

I think this psychotic son-of-bitch is an end-timer on a mission to start what his coked up & jacked up vestige of a brain "heard from God" hallucination percieves as Armageddon.

Impeach, try & convict, indict & imprison this maniac.

WHL--I'm with you! Bush's lunacy, political ideology, fundamentalist religious beliefs and his incompetence together scare the shit out of me! We need him gone because his delusional thinking is infecting others.

WHL - you are 100% right on.

This is where we are as a nation, to look at this criminally insane poly-addicted drug addict whose family committed a coup d'etat with their Neo-Nazis, on America, and now we must figure out how to bring the war criminals to justice. I don't recognize this guy as America's "President" because he isn't.

Who we must impeach are the Supremes who violated their oath to the Constitution by stopping the counting of votes in Florida.

David ~ (1) You aren't correct or factual by any stretch of the imagination about banking, how could you be? You can't even discuss it intelligently; (2) verbal abuse - I suggest you go back and read all the nonsense you have said about me and just as it is with Rove, you spin real good, but, you didn't deny being a troll; (3) you are not very bright and so I take back any and all remarks I may have said about you being intelligent, having common sense and especially, creative genius. End of discourse.

Watch out, rkelly, I may have to send my Illuminati goons after you.

I think you need to reread William Greider's book; you seem to have missed the whole point about money & credit.

Now, I'd say more, but the Baron Rothchild is expecting me to tea. Nothing I like better than crumpets and counterfeit five pound notes.
